I believe that it was unfair that the teacher, Alan Barron, was suspended. Mr. Barron was only doing what he thought to be moral when showing the students about the extent of racism in the past. This is a significant part of history and this teacher was doing his job by displaying an example that he felt will better explain their current chapter/unit. The video that Alan Barron showed to the students was to show them how the white people disguised themselves as African- Americans which was a way of mockery. In the past, white people viewed themselves as superior to black people, because of slavery which enable the white slave owners the right to have possession over the African-Americans.
