Why Adnan Syed Is Innocent

When we hear the name Adnan Syed, many questions come into mind. The most important question for many people is if he is guilty or innocent of murdering Hae Min Lee. Sarah Koenig a reporter, is trying to find the answer to this question. Sarah created a podcast called Serial where she provides evidence that supports and opposes Adnan 's innocence. There is plenty of evidence to support that he is guilty, but much more evidence saying that Adnan Syed is innocent. I firmly believe that Adnan Syed is innocent for the following reasons.
The first reason Adnan Syed must be innocent is because he did not have a motive to kill Hae. Some may say it was jealousy since Hae had dated another guy after they broke-up, named
Don. Although Adnan showed some despair, Asia, a witness that saw Adnan at the library around

Certainly the jurors thought it was a crime of passion, although the judge did not think it was not a good motive. The jurors during this case were as quick as lightning and convicted Adnan of first-degree murder, in under two hours. How can a jury convict someone for first degree murder in under two hours, especially not having enough evidence to prove Adnan did kill Hae? All they had was Jay’s testimony, which brings me to my second reason as to why Adnan is innocent of the murder of Hae Lee.
The second reason I think Adnan must be innocent is because there are too many inconsistencies that Jay provides during his testimony while being interviewed by the police. Jay provides many stories, which sometimes do not match up to Adnan’s story or to the stories he provides. There were many inconsistencies that did not make sense, of which I will share the 3 that I found most important, which you can find in episode 4 called “Inconsistencies". The

What readers should understand is that there was not even a small trace of Adnan’s DNA found at the scene in which Hae’s body was found, and no trace of DNA found on her body. There was no real solid evidence to link Adnan as the murderer. In episode six of Serial, “The Case Against Adnan Syed”, Sarah Koenig explained that the physical evidence against Adnan Syed was scant - a few underwhelming fingerprints. So aside from the cell phone records, what did the prosecutors bring to the jury, to share up Jay’s testimony? Sarah weighs all the other circumstantial evidence they had against Adnan, including curious behavior, a disconcerting note, and an unexplained mid-afternoon phone call?…

I believe that Adnan Syed is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee because of what he had told 4 of his friends and he said that she had broken his heart and was feeling sad. The first reason I believe Adnan is guilty is the breakup that Adnan and Hae had. This reason makes sense because Adnan was feeling heartbroken and that he had told 4 of his friends that he was going to kill Hae. This part of the story is when Adnan’s friends got interviewed by Sarah Koenig and said the same thing Adnan had told Jay and his friends “I’m going to kill Hae.”…

Is Adnan Syed really guilty of murdering Hae Min Lee? He was no where to be seen on August 13, 1999 between 2:15 and 2:36 p.m. Adnan had reason to kill her after he and Hae broke up a few months prior. For instance, Adnan would have given up everything to be with Hae and breaking up with him meant that he would lose everything. In other words, Adnan got mad and killed Hae for leaving him.…

Many theories seem to surround the case of Hae Lee and Adnan Syed. The question that everyone is asking themselves is, who did it, was it Adnan, was it Jay, or was it a hitman that Jay knew hired by Adnan? What makes it more difficult are the changing stories, witnesses foggy memory and inconsistencies on what happened that day. Also the evidence that was gathered and presented can make one think Jay and Adnan definitely had something to do with her death however neither murdered Hae. After paying close attention to all the information that has been shared in the previous episodes; one can conclude that this theory makes sense.…

Thoughts are up in the air when it comes to the truthfulness of Jays testimony, especially when he is involved, but gets off scotch free due to his allegations against Adnan. Although he was able to bargain a plea deal, he ran the risk of putting himself behind bars in order to let what he believes to be the truth out in the open. The choice of doing a narrative analysis on Jay Wilde was to see through his eyes the day leading up to the murder and the murder itself. Why do critics continue to give off the impression Jay Wild is lying and what has Jay’s role willing be throughout Adnan’s…

Adnan Syed - Guilty Ever since “The Judiciary Act of 1789”, the United States courts system has been accurately convincing some of the most ruthless and dangerous criminals the world has seen. It has been able to accurately distinguish the difference between innocent and guilty and kept lying criminals from escaping unscathed. The case of Adnan Syed is no different, even though Serial a podcast series narrated by Sarah Koenig may suggest differently. It is evident that Adnan is culpable of killing his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee because his claim of innocence just does not make sense, and the fact he has a reasonable motive makes him very suspicious; that combined with a witness named Jay, who was willing to testify against his good friend…

But contrary to that, he should not have been able to tell that he was high if he could remember that but not the call. Adnan comes right out and tells us “I do remember being high at the time because the craziest thing is to be high and have the police call your phone. I will never forget that.” (Koenig, “The Case Against Adnan Syed”). Being able to remember this detail but not being able to recall anything us from the day can lead us to believe that he killed Hae on this day and he is trying to cover up for it by…

Even with all of this in mind, the court sees him as the main suspect and is not dissuaded by his normal persona. They pin him as Hae Min Lee’s killer by using the jealous boyfriend stereotype. It is also bad for his case when there are phone records and accounts of him acting strange on the day of her murder. Jay seems to be the only one that has a story that is sound enough to have Adnan as the main suspect.…

Juror’s Statement Adnan Syed has been put on trial for the murder of Hae Min Lee. Not only has he been charged with life in a high security prison, but also has maintained his innocence for his whole trial and sentencing. Even though Jay’s testimony had been changed slightly over time, the story itself is consistent. Adnan killed Hae by strangulation and Jay helped Adnan bury her body in Leakin Park. Even though I state that Adnan is not innocent, he should not have been convicted with the evidence presented at trial.…
