Al-Qaeda is a terror group with founded by Osama bin Laden and other volunteers from the Arab community in 1988. Al-Qaeda has been mounting various terror attacks on civilians and military bases in different countries such as the U.S. embassy bombing in 1998, and the Bali bombing in 2002 ("Al-Qaida making comeback in Iraq, officials say", 2012). Following the various attacks and the destruction of property and loss life, different countries such as the U.S. launched a war on terror against the Al-Qaeda, which leads to the death of their leader Osama bin Laden (Nic Robertson, 2016). Al-Qaeda has been using different tactics to carry out their attacks on various targets. This essay discusses the various targets and tactics used by the Al-Qaeda to perform their attacks.

They have also established training camps in places like the vast desert of western Iraq close to the Syrian border.
