As Al Jazeera confirmed that in six months, over 190 were killed and more than 80 were injured. Currently Hamas is recognized as a terrorist group by the European Union and the U.S. Let’s dig into the history of HAMAS to find its original founders. The main leaders were Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, after him came Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi and Mahmoud Zahar. Sheikh Ahmed Yassin was the main founder of Hamas after he was forced out of his city to live in a camp in Gaza. After he suffered his injury in the spinal cord, he founded Hamas to fight against the Israeli occupation. He was assassinated by an Israeli Apache shooting Hellfire missiles at him shortly after he was returning from prayer. Hellfire missile is produced in the U.S since 1984. Mahmoud Zahar was one of the most important figures in Hamas. Both of his children were assassinated in a similar way as Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. However, they were assassinated in two different missions. Hamas has received minimal military aid from Iran only, while other Middle Eastern countries are sadly obeying the rules of the Zionist and not helping Hamas with any military aid nor opening their borders to help the Palestinians.
