Al Jolson was a singer and film actor that has the feat of starring in the first all sound movie “The Jazz Singer. Al Jolson mean music area of focus was traditional pop music,pop music and Jazz. Ale Jolson’s real name is Asa Yoelson he was born May 26, 1886 in Srednike, Lithuania.In 1894 Al moved to the United States making Washington D.C. his home.Al Jolson is said to have got some musical inspiration from his father but didn’t want to sing in the same genre as his father. During his childhood Al performed in street corners for money and attended theater we he learned he liked to perform. In 1900 Al left to New York to perform his first theater job called “Children of the Ghetto”.
