On the date of January, 17, 1899 was the birth of an infant named Alfonso Capone. Soon to be this baby would be a notorious bootlegger, pimp and Gangster. Al Capone led the way of organized crime and revolutionizing the meaning of modern day gangsters and bootleggers. Al Capone was born in Brooklyn New York In 1899 he was born to the parents Terasina Capone, and Gabriel Capone. Al Capone was born 4th out of 7 brothers. Al Capone was from Italian descent and was baptized a Roman Catholic. Al Capone dropped out of school early like most immigrant families to support his Mom and find work; he dropped out at age 14. Then a little while later joined the South Brooklyn Rippers and then the Five Points Juniors. He will soon be the most infamous crime boss in History. …show more content…
His intentions were to find work but changed his mind and started working for ruthless Mobster Johnny Torrio. Al Capone’s first position in the gang was working at place called “Four Deuces” a place where men can get drinks and visit prostitutes. Al Capone worked as a pimp and protected the girls if any harm came to them. He soon advanced in ranks, earning Torrios respect. In the year of 1925 Torrio who was on vacation with his wife just got back from the store when two assassins jumped out of the car near him and shot him, he was badly injured and had to be hospitalized. Back then hospitals provided little security so Capone volunteered to protect his long time mentor himself. After he got out of the hospital he was sentenced to nine months in jail and in his time decided to retire. So he gave Capone the gang. Capone’s Gang now controlled restaurants, Brothels, and Raceways. He was now the boss of the gang which Johnny Torrio
