Ako Vendetta Honor Code

The Ako Vendetta, is a great story. But it comes with a disclaimer of no one really knows the reason why lord Asano wounded Lord Kira with his blade. Many people have arguments of what standars the samurai should of been judged with in this cause effect affair we have on our hands. Some people believed that the ronin should of been judged by Bushido, the honor code of samurai, some believe that the law when of been a correct way of judging the samurai. You have others that what happened to the ronin fair after what happened to their lord, and then other on what is morally right or wrong with the action seppku. Then you have those in between people, people who are on the boarder of fairness and lawful, those people believe justice was served or wasn't served. And since this story is dealing with samurai we as the readers have to honor what they believe is right. the ronin believed that the decision of seppku towards their leader was wrong . By the ronin acting back in revenge, they were honoring their leader by show loyalty and that is what samurai is supposed to be (sounds like walker texas ranger). "True men remain loyal to those to whom they are indebted:Loyalty to a superior was the most distinctive virtue". According to the Bushido, this is called loyalty, and I believe that the decision to kill Lord Kira was a decision made by all of the ronin. All of the ronin had a choice when before lord Asano commute seppku. Some of the samurai wanted the peaceful surrender of Ako castle, other samurai recommend defending the castle to the death and a few wanted immediate death towards lord Kira.
