One thing Akbar did to improve the economy was that he standardized weights and measure. When Akbar standardized weights and measures it made it easier for merchants to convert the weight of goods. He also regulated the currency. The regulation of the currency sped up the process of paying for goods. By standardizing weights and measures and regulating the currency, it helped increase the trade and production of goods that were imported and exported out of the empire to bring them to a golden age. Unlike Akbar, Tokugawa Ieyasu did not do much to help improve Japan’s economy. Even though Japan is isolated by the bodies of water, they are able to trade with other countries by sea, however, they did not do much of that. Because of this, Japan did miss the industrial revolution in other parts of the world. By missing the industrial revolution, it made Japan more vulnerable to attacks and they lacked in technology.
