I was under a misunderstanding of the word by the western religious philosophy as they used the word Akasha as an adjective through the use of "the book of life". It contains all knowledge and history of all world events, and personal experiences of all thoughts and actions which has taken place, are taking place, and will take place on Earth. These are imprinted on the astral plane and accessed only with the experienced magician who are familiar with the ablility to tap into the unconciousness.
Akasha is important to know as its qualities are expressed through art, music, writing, religion, healing, magic, and ritual work. It is associated with the crown chakra, The World in tarot cards, and contains reflection of the vibes of light and dark. I found it important to unite all things as well as the connection to the otherworld. By opening up beyond thought and emotion I feel it will benefit any magical workings and connections to my practice. I found researching this word to be very educational and it has taught me that the word Akasha is a word that I will be using more often and being separate from what my beliefs were before I began this essay.
So out of all this information, to sum it up, I have achieved a good understanding of Akasha, or as I use Spirit. Throughout history and to this day the meaning has its roots in so many diffrent paths and religions not only in Pagan/Wiccan
