Akamai Personal Statement

In my 4 years at Akamai, I have enjoyed solving complex technical challenges to deliver cost, scale and performance benefits to clients. A key experience that strengthened my passion for the cloud industry was interacting and networking with prospective Akamai clients at the National Association of Broadcasters Conference in Las Vegas in 2015. It was exciting to pitch the business value of Akamai's cloud computing and streaming products and consequently securing future business opportunities with multiple companies particularly a large Los Angeles based video streaming and publishing client. To advance my career, I need to leverage my technical expertise and grow my business acumen. I believe that Anderson's career path - Technology Management with a specialization in 'Technology Leader (Moving Up)' is a great fit with my career goals. This course will help me combine my skills and experiences with a well-rounded program to secure business development roles and prepare me for future leadership roles. Additionally, Anderson’s Applied Management Research program and experiential projects will help me develop expertise in crafting strategic goals, identifying opportunities and exploiting growth avenues to generate revenue streams.
