Cloud Computing Strategy Cloud computing has been gradually increasing in usage and capabilities over the past few years and becoming ever more integrated with many companies business plans. With little doubt cloud computing has become a mainstream utility that has a tool most organizations can take advantage of. Zeitler (2014) stated that cloud expenditures will increase by 25% sparking a striking increase in cloud data centers worldwide, totaling a 100 billon dollar market. One of the most challenging and yet exciting projects I worked on was a study conducted on a small business as part of the MBA capstone project. The firm is a local retailer of specialty sporting gear, which was struggling with persistently declining sales being below its historical average figures. The project was challenging because I did not have much information to begin with, I had to demonstrate the application of theory gained through the MBA program, and I had to deliver a feasible solution within a short timeframe.…

My curiosity was kindled when I saw how cotton seeds which were fed into machines at one end of the industry were miraculously turned into edible oil at the other. The size and sound of huge machinery left me wondering what exactly was happening inside those pieces of equipment which converted raw materials into finished goods.…
