Travellers search the accommodation through the Internet and the companies like Airbnb create a new way to let people all over the word share their experience together.
Gebbia explains how he started his business on creating Airbnb in Ted Talk. At the beginning of his speech, he shares his first hosting experience with a stranger that drove a red Mazda. Then he found a way to make new friends also make the rent at the same time. He proved the idea of building trust between people we never met is not as hard as we think if we have a strong reputation that supports the idea, such as reviews from guests and hosts. We can easily break human’s “stranger-danger bias”. He turned this whole new experience into a new connection between people.
