How to Keep Pest from Your Land with Air Rifle
Overview
Pests can prove to be a real nuisance when the attack your farm. They can destroy the crops in your farm leading to huge losses. Pests can also be a safety concern for the family. Some can prove to be a real danger even to human beings. To keep pests away and protect crops on your land, one effective method is with an air rifle. An air rifle that combines good accuracy and speed has the ability to harm pests and keep them from your land. To manage the pest menace effectively, you should follow the following basics.
Choose the right equipment
There are hundreds if not thousands of air rifles in the market today. Choosing the right rifle for the job is the first thing to do. For control

Using the right bait will attract them to the farm. Matching the calibre with the target in the right way will ensure maximum damage to the pests. Small animals like rabbits, foxes and cats can be handled using a .22 caliber air rifle, wild pigs and small deers can be shot using a .243, larger animals such as buffaloes are well handled using a .338 air rifle. Large deers can be hunted down using a .270.
Abide by the rules
Many laws and regulations govern the use of air rifles for controlling pests on the farm. It is essential to understand all the rules regarding the weapons and the hunting whether as a necessity or as leisure. Law protects some types of birds and although they may invade your land as pests, it is good to have permission from the relevant authorities. Species that are considered as pests include grey squirrels, collard dove, rats, rabbits, magpies, carrion crow and feral pigeons. There are rules written specifically for air rifles. It is therefore safe have adequate knowledge and remove ignorance on such matters.

An air rifle can be a very effective way of keeping pests from your land. Air rifles do not have much power while they are still silent which makes them a better option compared to other rifles for pest control.
