Think about what it is like to live in a world where you can get sick from just breathing air, the air that you breathe every single day since the day you were born. Imagine one day having to walk outside wearing a mask for the rest of your life to make sure you don 't get sick. Even worse, imagine looking out of your window and not seeing any form of life. Everything has died due to air pollution and acid rain. This paper is here to talk about an issue that is becoming a huge problem around the world. Air Pollution is a major problem facing our government today. It is harmful to every living creature. This topic is a major problem in many places, especially in China. China has the world 's highest number of deaths due to air pollution. “The World Health Organization estimated in 2007 that 656,000 Chinese died prematurely each year from ailments caused by indoor and outdoor air pollution.The World Bank placed deaths related to outdoor pollution at 350,000 to 400,000.”(Beam,2015) This problem occurs when there are many factories, and coal-fired power plants. …show more content…
This issue in China has been going on for several years, Air pollution is definitely not a new problem, “Early references to air pollution dates back to the Middle Ages, when smoke from burning coal was already such a serious problem that in 1307 King Edward I banned its use in lime kilns in London.” (Christos,2004) Since air pollution has been here for a long period of time China 's economy has suffered along with the citizens,from the quality of the air.
