The World Health (WH) Organization estimates that one in eight deaths worldwide are caused

by exposure to polluted air. Data confirm that poor air quality is a leader in environmental health

risks; heart disease, strokes and chronic lung obstruction are the main consequences of pollution. In

addition, there are several ways to classify and mention the consequences of air pollution. Some

scientists describe the consequences of air pollution follow accompanied by effects directly linked to

human health, animals and vegetables, and classify them into aesthetic , irritating and toxic( Devlin

Air pollution is a serious issue that affects the entire world. Motor vehicle use, factory output of sulfur-dioxide and carbon monoxide from burning fossil fuels, and the use of pesticides in agriculture which leads to high levels of ammonia, all contribute to the amount of air pollution in the atmosphere (Air pollution, n.d.). Not only are air pollutants depleting our ozone layer, they are also affecting the health of people. As nurses, it is important to be aware of the causes of illnesses in our community. The purpose of this paper is to answer the question, “To what affect does high levels of air pollution caused by traffic, factories, and agriculture have on the population exposed?”…

In the article Air Pollution from Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection, the author stated that human was the cause of air pollution. This issue affects all human, animals, and plants because noxious gases made the air unsafe to breathe, and it can produce acid rain. This issue matters because, without clean air, many people will develop diseases or even die due to air pollution. I totally agree with this statement, because of almost every animal, including human, needs clean air to live. I can relate to this statement, because I used to live in Saigon for a short amount of time, and the air there was almost unbreathable.…

Photochemical smog, acid rain, the death of forests, and reduced atmospheric visibility are just some of the effects of air pollution. Emissions from fossil fuel combustion are associated with global warming, which may be altering earth’s climate permanently (Majewski and Jääskeläinen, “Environmental Effects of Emissions”). Along with altering climate, emissions indirectly interferes with the physiology of plants, animal species, and entire ecosystems (Majewski and Jääskeläinen, “Environmental Effects of Emissions”). In the report by Majewski and Jääskeläinen, 8 out of the 9 air pollutants listed in Table 1 have a negative impact on the environment (Majewski and Jääskeläinen, “Environmental Effects of Emissions”). In addition to being released into the air, emissions can also be deposited in soil and water, causing them to enter the food chain (King, “How Does Car Pollution Affect the Environment & Ozone Layer?”)…

The tundra biome is one of the few biomes that interests me the most, and is also one of the many biomes that may be in danger. The tundra has many threats such as construction, Ozone depletion, oil spills, and air pollution. Almost 20% of the world is in a tundra area, which is housing many different animals and plant life depending on this type of biome. When construction happens, buildings and roads get created, while knocking everything down in the process. The construction causes the descruction of animal homes and plants and puts heat and pressure on the permafrost layer causing it to melt.…
