Fracking creates “methane emissions, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), hazardous air pollutants and greenhouse gases”. These toxic gas emissions lead to climate change because of the gas emissions. Well to burner emissions are 3.5%-12% higher than ordinary gases. Along with releasing all these chemicals and polluting the air, rain becomes polluted as well as now acid rain is produced. The air pollution also has a direct effect to humans. The contact with “diesel particulate matter, hydrogen sulfide and volatile hydrocarbons can lead to headaches, asthma, high blood pressure, anemia, heart attacks and cancer”. That’s not all. These gases also create immune …show more content…
Although, what can be controlled is what happens next. There has to be more laws against fracking and its waste disposal. If fracking is something that isn’t going away, they need to try and find a water mixture that doesn’t use as many harmful chemicals that aren’t biodegradable. There is a company called Oasys that is working with National Oilwell Varco to create a “forward osmosis solution” and sell it to companies. This machine will have the ability to clean all contaminated water 100% of the way. Hopefully things don’t get serious enough for the need of this machine. Something needs to change, for the sake of your children and your children’s
