United States Air Force Memorial Rough Draft
The United States Air Force Memorial is a beautiful memorial designed to empower the Air Force’s strength, air. The Army’s strength of land is easy to present with hills, the Navy’s/ Marine’s strength of water is easy to present with fountains and lakes, but the Air Force’s strength of air is very difficult to present. They presented this strength accurately.
The United States Air Force Memorial honors those who have served and those who have died in the United States Air Force and it’s predecessor organizations. The design illustrates flight using three stainless steel spires with the tallest 270 feet tall and the base is 132 feet above sea-level. At the entrance there is a “runway to glory”.
