Air Force Jobs
The three jobs that I am interested in going into Air Force are Contracting, Cyber Surety, and Cyber System Operations. All three jobs are in the "General" area and all require pretty high scores with both Cyber Surety and Cyber System Operations requiring a general score of 62 while Contracting requires a general score of 72. All three jobs require at least 7.5 weeks of basic training including airmen's week and a high school diploma. You must also be between the ages of 17 and 39.
Cyber Surety is one of the jobs I'm interested in pursuing in the Air Force. They are responsible for preventing, detecting, and repelling cyber-attacks. They also ensure the security of computer networks and online communications. All in all, they play defense and defend the military's cyber operations. I'm interested in this job because it's something that I can see myself doing for four years and actually enjoy it. Hacking computers and defending against hacks is like something out of a movie, to me it's something that people would be like "wow, that's really cool." The skills I possess for this job aren't many. I know a little about computers and some commands to navigate the system and fix some things. Cyber System Operations install and support systems to ensure they operate properly and remain secure from outside intrusion. They also create systems and programs to give the military an advantage in Cyber technology. This is something I want to do because I think it's really cool that you get to create programs and hacks improve the United States cyber operations. Skills wise I have none, but I could learn from my dad or from the "Cyber Systems Operations Initial Skills" course. When I retire from the Air Force I can either create tools for the U.S. government to use or teach civilians to do
