As a child, growing up, we used to dream about the things we would do and the people we would be when we got older. No matter what situation you were raised in, your dreams always pushed your limits but still seemed achievable. This summer, while on a missions trip to Santiago in the Dominican Republic I witnessed an unforgettable experience. The children that lived there were full of smiles and happiness even though they did not have the opportunities we have in the United States today. This experience made me realize how grateful I am to live in a country that provides many opportunities to be successful. Being able to attend the United States Air Force Academy is an incredible opportunity to serve our country and to help lead others to success
