Aid A Ballet Sequence

I knew that this was a ballet sequence because it involves a troupe of women dancing with musical accompaniment. The dancers were expressing the Egyptian victory over the Ethiopians without using words. I also read in the program that Verdi included three ballet sequences (the use of ballet fits within the Romantic time period), which was unique because Aida is a very Italian Opera. The program stated that Italian Operas tended to keep opera and dance
