1.0 Introduction
This assignment will focus on the process design as an operational issue. First, a brief literature on operations and processes management in the context of process design. Secondly, an overview of the company’s operational issues which includes a description of the organisation, (moreover to which the issue applies) and a graphical representation of the company’s operation.
Thirdly, an analysis of the issue highlighted in the context of service strategy, process capacity, current configuration, variability and technology. In addition, a discussion of the implications of process designs relative to performance objective and the effectiveness of the process.
