The country of Haiti is in dire need of new agricultural reforms, that includes the use of newer crop varieties that is suited to the ever changing climate of Haiti, such as drought-resistant, short-cycle, and salt-tolerant varieties, as well as new cultivation practices. if we look in depth, agriculture must shift from steep slopes onto more intensively cultivated lowland plains and other sites less vulnerable to erosion. There is a need for adaptation for market practices that must also adapt to the ever changing circumstances.
