During the Industrial Revolution, the economy was booming. Companies started making products faster, easier, and cheaper. The companies that made all of the money decided that they could make more products by expanding to other continents such as Africa, and Asia. Other continents were desirable because they had more materials, more money to be made, and different and new markets. In these new continents, businesses could now make money by trading their products with materials that the natives of these countries had. Then, the companies realized that they could make more money if the companies and the countries that they were a part of took over the land and took the resources from the natives, to then force the people to buy the products.
