It seems that the discrimination in the workplace advanced to the guidelines because the 26-page complaint claims which was issued by the HP’s Human Resource department stating that 75% of early career applicant be straight out of school. (Swartz, 2016) This act also shows that the company possibly would not hire any new employees of a older age, which is discrimination on older adults who won’t get jobs at the company because they are above a certain age. Creating new guidelines gives the company evidence against ex-employees that the employees are being replaced by a younger crowd.. The impact this lawsuit will have on Human Resource Management is that they will have to change the methods of improving the company. The company will have to become a ‘younger’ operation by not discriminating against worker due to their age and not their ability to get the job done. The company should also realize that the product makes up the company and the workers only improve it and there is no age limitation on a person exceeding at doing their job.
