Between the ages of 11 and 15 the most important things to me were my family and best friend. I had one best friend since 4th grade and was very anxious about starting middle school. I was very shy at the time and did not have any classes with her. Being accepted and making friends was very important to me at the time. I also cared a lot about what others thought about me and really wanted to fit in with my peers. I also did not want to lose touch with my best friends as we started a new school.

My relationship with my peers in middle school varied. I had one best friend and a few other friends that I met throughout the years and had classes with. These years were tough because there was a lot of bullying. I found myself and my friends getting bullied a few times throughout those years. During the first half of middle school I tried hard to fit in with my peers and make as many friends as possible.
