Agamemnon: The King Of Mycenae

Agamemnon is the king of Mycenae and the leader of a Greek expeditionary force. He plays a part of the in this story to help support his brother who married Helen, who was kidnapped by the Trojans. Agamemnon is not a fan of the Trojans for they are the wealthiest city-state in all of Greece and are awfully arrogant about their wealth. Agamemnon is an Achaian hero whose sole purpose is to destroy Troy. Agamemnon is a weaker man whose power derives form is wealth and position. Agamemnon is a selfish and greedy leader who only cares himself and his position. Agamemnon thinks of himself very highly because of his position and wealth. He doesn’t care when Achilles stops fighting for him even though he is clearly the best warrior. Agamemnon and his most powerful warrior Achilles do not see eye to eye all of the time and have many fights. One was enough to make Achilles stop fighting for his army. Agamemnon is very proud of himself and his power which is why he doesn’t ask Achilles to come back even when they start to lose to the Trojans. His greed is what drove Achilles away because he has to give away his prize he decides to take Achilles, instead of waiting for a greater prize as promised by the warriors. All his people should respect him and he should get first pick at the prizes his soldiers win for him, and should be all around praised for his ruling. His greed almost causes him to lose his greatest warrior and almost is killed by it. He is very stubborn and dislikes it when he does not get his. He is very full of himself and believes that whatever he does is great and should be praised. Throughout the story he stays the same greedy ruler who only cares about his well being. Agamemnon is an especially powerful leader, but selfish, greedy and egotistic and cares for his well being
