Against Bringing Dogs To Work

Decent Essays
I agree with "against bringing dogs to work" because not everybody loves dog or comfortable around them.

first reason for me, I am not comfortable with dogs because my family has a bad allergy including me. For example, when my daughter goes play date to her friend's home, she must take a medicine before she goes to her friend's house. without medication she complains about her runny nose, itch eyes, and headack. She couldn't sleep very well. My symtom is just like what my daughter has. I avoid to visit to my friend's house.

Another reason is that I'm not comfortable with dog because psychologically I'm afraide of dog since I was a young girl; I was attacked by my neighbor's a big aggressive dog so I was traumatized and hospitalized

Paul Eldridge once said “To judge a man’s character by only one of its manifestations is like judging the sea by a juge full of its water.” The meaning of Mr.Eldridge’s quote is that people usually judge things from what they can see, but they don’t see the whole picture. People are afraid of pit-bulls because of their reputation as fighting dogs. The only thing that they see is the strong looking dog and its lockjaw. In fact pit-bulls have been great family dogs for a very long time.…

These objections can transfer over to different animals such as: cats. The statistic that (Manjoo) pointed out was that 1000 Americans a day are treated for dog bites; hence, not all dogs are as nice as they are made out to be. Even if the animal’s owner tells you that the dog loves people at any time something could set the dog off (startle them) and cause them to bite a person. The message that (Manjoo) is trying to get across is that dogs should not be welcome in any of the places that they are and not everybody loves dogs. In my opinion (Manjoo) is wanting people to question is it right to let their dogs do whatever they want to and to take…

In the argument about dog parks for residents with pet dogs, I totally agree that they should be provided with a park for their animals. I agree because, i dont think a simple walk around the neighborhood is not to much exercise on a daily. Exercise is important to dogs' mental and physical health. Also another reason would be because according to (ASPCA) "dogs that dont get exercise can act out at home by barking or destroying things at home. Socializing is important too.…

Dogs can lower your risk of getting allergies. In one study a pediatrician at the University of Wisconsin analyzed blood from newly born babies’ and then one year later. He found that if the baby lived in a house with a dog, they were twenty-four percent less likely to have pet allergies, their chances decreased of getting an allergy skin condition called eczema, and they had higher levels of certain chemicals that show signs of a stronger immune system (Davis). Similarly, another study showed that it a family had two pets; there was a seventy percent reduction in sensitivity to all allergens (Coren 221). Pets, specifically dogs, lower a person’s chance of getting allergies because exposure to endotoxins found in their spit at a young age causes someone’s immune system to have a lower chance of reacting to certain allergens (Coren 222).…

In 2010, a study by Elsevier Health Sciences found that children who were allergic to dogs but grew up with a dog during their early childhood had a lower risk of developing the skin condition eczema by age four. Meaning that having a dog as a child is not only emotionally beneficial but also has health related benefits. And as for those who argue cats are better that our beloved dogs, it was discovered that children with cat allergies are 13 times more likely to develop eczema if they lived with a cat within their early childhood. In addition to helping prevent eczema, dogs can also help prevent people from developing allergies and asthma. Based on a recent study, kids who were in contact with the dried flakes of skin that fall from our pooches, or also known as ‘dog dust’ were at a lower risk of developing allergies and asthma.…
