Animal testing has become one of a number of controversial issues because of the effects that it has on animals. Supporters of animal testing justify these effects because they believe that animal testing is the only way to find new cures for diseases. Research that has been done on this matter has proven it to be an ineffective way of finding cures. Furthermore, the reason why animal testing should not continue is because it leads to animals having psychological problems, dwindling of the number of endangered animals and cures that have been proven on animals do not work on people.…

The Bible gives many accounts of God telling people how they are to act. God says that people are to be kind and soft natured and loving. The reality is, animal testing foes directly against the claims in the Bible. When the earth was created, God put Adam in the garden and told him to be in charge of everything, this included the animals (Genesis 2:15, English Standard Version). God did not place man in charge of creation to destroy it, He put man in charge to care for it and help it prosper.…

Early Buddhists but, not the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama himself, used the idea that animals were spiritually inferior as a justification for the exploitation and mistreatment of animals. It is widely recognized that experimenting on animals is wrong. Buddhists say that this is morally wrong if the animal experiences any pain. So perhaps a Buddhist approach to experiments on animals might require the experimenter to accept the karma of carrying out such an action.…

Any cosmetic or medical companies will tell consumers that their products are the best since it has been tested on animals for safety, but the truth behind animal testing will make buyers think twice about their merchandise. Nowadays, more and more people are teaming up against animal testing. Laboratory testing is done on substances that make up medication and cosmetics, such as perfume, lotion, soap, etc. Animals are used to develop medical treatments, determine the toxicity of medications, and check the safety of products destined for human use. Substances are injected into animal’s bodies to prove that products are harmless to people, and the environment.…

For most people there are two scenarios that come to mind when they hear animal testing. The first scenario is that scientist are torturing, neglecting and abusing the animals that are being tested on. The other scenario is that scientist are being ethical, take care of the animals and are creating life-saving medicines. This makes the use of animals in experiments a controversial topic; a topic that isn’t quite black and white when argued. There are different types of animal testing like, medical testing and cosmetic testing; one is more ethical than the other.…

0e9 By testing on animals we can get a head start on technology, curing diseases but even the animal closest to our genetics, the monkey, will produce different results then humans when tested with chemicals. This means that a monkey might not have harsh side effects but humans might. The testing sometimes doesn’t produce results at all and even if it did it would take countless amounts of tries and animals have life's too. For some people in their religion killing animals like this is very cruel and almost considered murder.…

Animal Testing; The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Please read my whole essay with the song “Angel” by Sarah McLachlan playing in the background. Each year, more than one hundred million animals are killed in U.S. laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity-driven experimentation, and chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics testing. There is debate whether animal testing is causing more harm than good. My sources indicate that there is a fine line drawn between human needs and taking advantage of the species that we consider inferior to us, their debate raises the question: is physical pain caused to animals worth finding the cure? The primary purpose of this medical research is to promote human health.…

Imagine your family pet being enclosed in a small, cold, and dirty cage for days, weeks, or even months on end, only being taken out to be subjected to painful experiments without any anesthetic, as well as the possibility of developing life threatening diseases and injuries. Too many animals experience this on a regular basis around the globe - in fact, nearly 25 million animals will be used as test subjects annually. Animal testing is a horrible occurrence, one that brings suffering to even the smallest of creatures. Many people do not know the extremes of the effects of this practice, which are unnecessarily painful to animals, or that alternatives do exist, and that the results are not always accurate and time/cost effective. Experiments…

One belief is, people believe since their society’s God’s says it is acceptable to test on animals, they do also. To go along with the written words, it states animals have to be benefitting the humans in the experiments and no pain is to be intentional (Animal). In recent experimenting, the statements have been claimed true.…

After studying multiple views on animal testing I have come to realize my personal view has now changed since the start of my research. Before undergoing heavy study into animal testing I believed that all types of animal testing should be stopped, but now I believe that the idea is very beneficial and should only be done when the rights of the animal are considered. In the coming years, hopefully, more regulations can be passed to ensure that all animal’s lives are protected during experimentation. Although most animals are treated with care and no pain is dealt to them when undergoing testing, it would be a lie if I stated no animals are harmed during the process. Animal testing is extremely useful in developing life-saving drugs and medicine.…

Though I concede that in some situations, animal testing may be useful, such as in immensely important medical studies, I still maintain that it is unnecessary to make an animal suffer and be discriminated against. Although some people may think that animal testing is healthy and beneficial to humans, I believe that animal testing is unethical and utterly wrong because of the unfair repulsive treatment that animals receive from scientists. This topic is important because the world we live in is as much an animal 's world as it is a human’s world and right now humans are discriminating and enslaving…
