Fundraising, requests for community support and grant writing would be done at the center in effort to raise funds that would cover the cost of treatment of those without funding, legal assistance, transportation and housing assistance, along with other social support needs. Treatment would be billed to contracted providers or provided at low or no cost to those without benefits. He said that you have to offer safe options. He said that kids are bored and there is nothing exciting to do, so they make their own excitement. He said we should offer them exciting programs and activities and state/post they are drug/alcohol free when teens arrive, not beforehand. He relayed that they take that as a challenge, and they like parent/adult challenges. He said we should state the consequences of having drugs/alcohol at the event on a board at entry. He recommended offering free concerts, free entrance nights to game arcades, open nights to swimming, bowling, and movies.
