Like many it took me quite a long time to decide what path I wanted to take for myself. It wasn’t until this past summer that I discovered what Occupational Health and Safety was and how I could go about making it my career. I plan on attending State-Fair for two years and then transferring to UCM to attain my bachelors in Occupational Safety and Health. After graduating this May, I plan on attending State-Fair using my A+ Scholarship to cover tuition, and using the money I have accumulated and will accumulate working part-time to cover the costs of books and any other fees I may encounter. While I attend State-Fair, I will be sure to take classes that I know will transfer from State-Fair that is required for my degree, including: College Algebra, Intro to Chemistry, Human Biology, Elementary Organic and Biochemistry with Lab. I will complete the Associate in Arts degree so that I can then transfer to UCM to continue my education and reach my goals. The average tuition yearly at SFCC is around $4,000 so I will be saving around $8,000 with A+. I grew up in a poor family and drug/alcohol induced life. I grew up faster than a child should and my brothers practically raised me to be my own person. Statistically speaking, rich children have a better chance of completing school and continuing to a degree than poor children do. According to Julia B.
