According to my worldview rape is an act where by one person forces another to have sexual intercourse with her, using his power and weapons to threaten her. Rape is a disgusting and humiliating deed that affect victim, emotionally, physically and psychologically also affect her future in some cases. It’s important to stop rape because other victims found themselves in a situation where they have to do abortion after rape. And abortion is a murder according to God, our creator; some other young girls live in guilty conscious for the rest of their lives. Other victims get infected by STIs and HIV/AIDS, and they suffered for the rest of their lives with no healthy life. They end up affecting other people and HIV/AIDS rate increases.
Some perpetrators say they rape because of the way women wear. According to my worldview that is an excuse because our grandparents who lived in ancient time were not even wearing clothes but there was not rape. They were encouraging respect and following the tradition and togetherness. They were treating women as their sisters, mother grandmothers and daughters, not someone who deserve to be raped and abused. So rape …show more content…
Starting this initiative will help many people to report rape and get important health services. This will encourage those people who are dying in silence to speak up so that perpetrators will be arrested and be sentenced. If perpetrators are not reported, they continue to destroy people’s lives by spreading SITs and HIV/AIDS, Anon (2014). So these campaigns will teach women on how to protect themselves if someone wants to rape them, and get more information on numbers to dial after that situation. So that rapist will be arrested and stay where they belong (behind bars). I will request government to sponsor this campaign and initiate it into other provinces around South
