By the time children are in second grade, teachers are already teaching the story of America. You learn that Christopher Columbus sailed the Ocean blue in 1492, and that he discovered the Americas. As a young naive child you think he discovered our America, when in fact all he really discovered were some islands in the Caribbean. He also was ruthless man and killed off a majority of the indigenous people, which leads us to another problem later on. The African Tribes would sell these men to the Europeans, a win win situation for everyone, right? Europeans get men to work the fields and the Africans get paid in return. When it comes to moral issues, generally most people would agree that enslaving criminals is a better tactic than enslaving totally innocent men.
