In African myths the serpent is often associated with the creation of the earth. In some the earth is made from the serpent, while in others the serpent is what holds the earth together and sets the heavenly bodies into motion.
In this myth, Woot had been exiled for his incest and decided to take revenge twice. His second time he spread the villages out and twisting their tongue’s so that they spoke different languages. This took away the closeness of the community and their ability to communicate.
I think this myth may be used to teach multiple things at once, however, I do think that this story is mostly
