As I stood around, watching, and taking in every moment, the police showed up and intervened. As we are all aware, a man in the African community was arrested over the memorial weekend for murder for hitting his wife attacker with an iron stick, which resulted in the death of the assailant. In this particular incidents was as a result of the disapproval of some members of the community who refused to be part of the aide to the man involved. His people who are the Fulas, has asked for assistance from the community board and some members refused to offer the aide due to the man circumstances not falling the requirement for aide. The subject was bought to the communities’ attention after the Friday prayers and asked for the public opinions. In my observation the younger crowd where all for the aide while I the older crowd where mostly the ones against the idea. I was in astonishment, because I would have thought the older ones where the ones who understands the importance of the community and the reasons why we had it placed in order. She looked at me with worrying eyes and said you doctor? I replied no but am a nurse and I want to see if I can help. She said ok then said something to the little boy. I bend down to his eyes level and introduce myself and told him I wanted to help. With that been said I reached out to see his foot, it was pretty bad. He had been stab with a piece of glass when he was trying to catch a ball and fell down. I asked them to call 911 and for us not to remove the glass. But the little boy would not let him touch or assist him in anyway. Now I do not think that this action was done knowingly that it was wrong by the kids, but he did it with a motion and liquidity that looked as though he didn’t think a second about it; it was just natural.
