There are many stereotypes that are placed on African Americans that I don’t believe are necessarily true. Some stereotypes that are said can apply to any race not just African Americans. The biggest stereotype said about African Americans that displeases me is “all blacks are on welfare”. That displeases me for many reasons the first is that statement is not true at all. My mom is a prime example of a single parent who is African American and is not on welfare. She has worked very hard for everything that we have with no help from the Government. There is nothing wrong for people who are truly in need of help to go get assistants, the programs were made for that reason. For people to make an assumption that African Americans are just lazy
