Africa is unique in many ways and does things differently than other continents. Africa do things the way that they started to do it a long time ago, and they haven't changed anything. Many different things happen throughout the african history, and African's cannot do very much to stop what is coming. Africa also isn't as up to date, and modern, as most places but Africans can get the job done just the way it is. Africa has many reasons of why it could be behind some of them are geographic luck, imperialism, racism, slave trade, and history denied. But of all of the factors that I have considered, I believe that Africa is behind because of 3 main factors: geographic luck, imperialism, and racism.
Geographic luck is just one of the main reasons

In The White Man's Burden excerpt by Rudyard Kipling it is showing how the white men think that they are better than the Africans and have a lot more to offer than africa's do. It says that “To serve your captives’ need;” and this means that they feel like they need to help the africans and that they have so much to offer. The white men feel like they need to help the Africans and they feels like it is harder for them to help the Africans, it is a burden for them but they are doing it anyway because they think that the Africans need it. They feel like the africans are just so much lower in class than the white men. But, the white men feel like they don't need to do it but they are only doing it because they are nice even though the africans don't want their help at all and that they think that they are doing fine on there own and they would like to continue the ways that they have been doing things, simple and pure. Also, it down mention anything about the black man helping the africans because the white men had so much more power than the black men no matter how much they did or how hard they worked, the white men would always be superior to the black man in the 1900s. Next, in the picture by Linley Sambourne that depicts King Leopold II of Belgium as a snake entangling a congolese rubber collector. In the picture it looks like the snake is in complete control and the rubber collector cannot do anything about the snake. Also, the man is black and the snake has a crown on its head to show it superiority to the black man. The snake looks as if it is screaming at the black man and the black my is trying to get the snake off of him but he can't because he is a long and he is helpless to a snake that is wrapped around his whole body. Notice how the rubber collector is black and not white, that was made for a reason because the white men have more power than the black men
