Out of many the health care issues one subject that has been a quite a hot topic for many years is Affordable Care Act. Affordable Care Act or Obamacare has been trying to get more people under insurance coverage. According to the two articles that I found, By One Measure, Health Care Law Is a Record Success written by Reed Abelson and Margot Sanger-Katz and Finally, some good news for Obamacare written by the Editorial Board, stated that Affordable Care Act has been able to manage to bring the success that it hoped for. These two articles have mentioned the success of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare, however these articles also have included some of the struggle Affordable Care Act is still facing and need more effort and understating to make it better.
First of all, By One Measure, Health Care Law Is a Record Success written by Reed Abelson and Margot Sanger-Katz was published on September 15, 2016 on The New York Times newspaper, has mentioned about the success of Affordable Care Act. This article has mentioned that the number of uninsured people has gone down. This article has also mentioned, as recorded by the agency, now only 9.1 percent of Americans do not have health insurance coverage. This has been the lowest percentage of uninsured people they have ever recorded. The record of uninsured people in 2013 was 13.3 percent.
