In other words Jessica Rasdall was being reckless by driving under the influence of alcohol, which put her friend in danger. With this in mind, her actions affect her best friend by taking her life. To clarify, both of these people did the same actions under the same circumstances. First thing to remember is that they both were under the influence of alcohol, and they both took the lives of others unjustly. The actions that they demonstrated were absurd in the way that they took the lives of others in a matter of seconds. In addition to backup my claims, the author acknowledges that Ethans actions did affect others by saying,”Molina suffered a serious brain injury and can no longer speak or move.” In other words Ethan affected that girls life when he went drunk driving and hit her. Also the author in the Jessica Rasdall case states, “"That's the first dead body I've ever seen. You instantly think she's young, she's got a family somewhere right now that doesn't know what just happened. It's a picture that's really hard to let go of."” With this in mind she took the rest of her life away from her, plus she also took her away from family. Can you imagine how it feels to have a loved one taken away from your life in a matter of seconds, because of someone else's actions. Particularly, this case emphasizes just how lives can get changed in a matter of seconds. Your everyday actions affect others in ways you can even imagine.
