For years, men have worked hard for their wealth and power, and as a result, men like Bill Gates enter the world and conquer its riches.
The thing about him, however, is that he is considered to have an advantage that everyone doesn’t have, he’s white. Because of this advantage, the push for Affirmative Action has become an uproar in our society.

One of the reasons that I hear very frequently is that it increases diversity which has benefits within itself.
In an article entitled Why We Still Need Affirmative Action by Raina Kelley, she fairly argues why she feels her opinion is right by pointing out flaws in opposing arguments and also giving logical examples on why her feelings are credible.
One thing Kelley says is that affirmative action is a victim of “branding,” in a way that it is automatically associated with unfair advantages for women and minorities (Kelley).
I concede with her on this point. However, she believes that this is an incorrect assumption because affirmative action’s sole purpose is to give everyone a fair chance, not just a certain group of people. I believe this to be correct because affirmative action ultimately turns into an issue of race. In order for it not to sound like a “major” issue, she emphasizes who else affirmative action helps such as women of all races and not just minorities.
Kelley states that “what was a pressing social issue more than 40 years ago is a high-school history lesson now”
