Per our conversation earlier this week I have included a copy of the hospital bill.
From the insurance company I was able to figure out that the total amount billed to Aetna was $17,667.10, which includes a discount of $11,917.10. Aetna paid $16,798.43 and left me responsible for the remaining $868.67. When I asked why it wasn’t covered completely, they told me that I overstayed my hospital visit for 3h and 5min. In other words, if I stayed there for less than 24h insurance company would have covered it 100%.
Per their records, I was confined on the 9/1/2015 at 10:15 am and released on the 9/2/2015 at 1:20 pm. I believe it’s absolutely unfair since that time includes me waiting for hours for the next available room and then
