Some of the pros I identified in the above information are: it pays well, the job locations are in places I would like to live, job security is high within the government, and the work that aerospace engineers do sounds like fun. Some of the cons I identified include: high-stress work environment, competitive, a lot of responsibility, your work may be for nothing if your project suddenly gets cancelled. These pro’s and con’s seem to be rather even with each other for the most part. Logically, a job that pays well would be considered a good job. Aerospace engineers start off with a high salary that continues to grow with time. I like this because as I get older I will want to start saving more and that will be easier when my income is growing steadily. Being able to live in a location that I like is something that I value because it means I can continue to have a life outside of work somewhere I want. This becomes even more important when combined with a high-stress work environment. Having somewhere outside of work you can destress is going to be important. I feel that the competitive con is cancelled out by the fact your salary grown with experience. You constantly get rewarded for being good. High starting salary also cancels out the increased level of responsibility. I think that I could shoulder the responsibility because I enjoy taking pride in the work that I do so I will always try to make sure everything I design will function the best it can. However, what it really comes down to is that I have experience in aerospace engineering and I know that I truly love doing it, and that to me is the most valuable
