Similarities consist mainly in body weight and length; both primates have the same sized small brain; Howler monkeys weigh fifteen to twenty pounds, 22 to 36 inches long similar to Aegyptopithecus that weigh about thirteen pound, 21 to 36 inches long. Aegyptopithecus and Howler Monkeys even have similar diets, both eat fruit and Howlers Monkeys additionally eat nuts. Socially these two primates are identical, both Aegyptopithecus and Howler Monkeys live in groups sizes of about six to fifteen monkeys. There are some exceptions since there are nine different species of howler monkey, Mantled howler monkeys usually live in bigger groups of fifteen to twenty monkeys. Fights within both groups are limited too, Aegyptopithecus and Howler Monkeys have short and seldom fights amongst themselves with fights between sexes being even rarer. Nevertheless, both Aegyptopithecus and Howler Monkeys are comparable to New World Monkeys. Movement is identical; both primates move quadrupedally across the branches of trees, but Howler Monkeys can support all of their weight with their strong prehensile
