Commodity Fetishism is everywhere we go. Its on magazines, billboards and even on T.V. A simple plain T-shirt can cost up to ten dollars but once a a company labels it with their logo, the shirt can cost up to three times the original amount. Its not just on clothes but on electronics, accessories and beverages. Many people will buy things just because of the brand. The company will advertise it in a way to get the consumer to buy it. If it has a brand it is consider to be a commodity fetishism.

Sony released a hand held system called the Play Station Portable also known as the PSP. The PSP was only in black at first, but they released it in the color white. In the Advertisement, there are two females. There 's a black female and a white female.

It also displays that white people are more superior compared to the minority. It also utilizes women instead of actually showing the device. They portray the women as objects by using their skin color to represent the PSP system instead of the actual system. actually saw the systems in black and white, they might of viewed it different. In advertisements, when a company releases a new product they try there best to describe the new features of the new product. They compare an old product to the new product featuring the new upgrades. Unlike the advertisement, Sony used two women to describe the product instead. They used women how elegant the product is and to go even further they used the colored of the females to identify the system. They used a white women to portray the new PSP while they used the black women to portray the old PSP. The PSP product shows no labor and no picture of the product itself. At the end of the day people will buy the products regardless of the advertisement but because of the brand. Whether it shows racist or not even the product itself, people will still buy objects because of the
