When consumers look at a Nike advertisement, it’s not just an ad it’s a dream. The shoes so many famous athletes use and promote every day. Dreams that one day you may poses the talent to be as good as them. Like Michael Jordan the greatest of all time, wearing the most famous basketball shoe named after himself “Air Jordan’s” not only promote his success but also the success you could have. In a recent advertisement produced by Nike “the Shoe Works If You Do” followed by their famous slogan Just Do It reaches out to the consumer. By putting forth your efforts you will achieve greatness. Advertisement surrounds us today and the way we live. Americans living in more populated areas see up to 4,000 advertisements a day, depending on if you have Facebook, Twitter, and more increases the advertisement consumption by even more. Kilbourne, an expert in advertisement, states that “Advertising is our environment. We swim in it as fish swim in water. We cannot escape it” (89).

His dark brown hair and clean shaved face but a very hairy chest area portraying that he is a manly man and classy. His eyes are set on the camera with a smirk on his face implying the cologne and after shave products will pull sexual encounters. As for the woman her jaw dropped, arms wrapped around his neck, nose close smelling his neck where the Old Spice “Musk for Men” product had been applied. Her long blond curled hair matches her perfectly manicured nails and the color of the wall behind them. The picture looks as if they are both fully unclothed and we can only assume that because the picture cuts off at his mid stomach. Due to it being an after shave product it makes me think that he just got out of the shower because the saying goes shower then
