My cosmetics and jewelry will be purchased from my box truck that will have the appearance or a food truck to create a higher scene of uniqueness. I will have a permanent location Monday through Thursday and we will be traveling to different events.

There are four types of advertisement, each is designed to be used at different stages of the business. Informative advertising is intended to build consciousness of the brand that will then lead to sales. Persuasive advertisement is used to influence buyers to purchase. This type of advertisement is pursued one brand awareness has been established. Such method of advertisement uses our appeal to emotions Fear is a very useful emotion to use in order to persuade your target audience. No one wants to feel unattractive or unwanted or unsafe. Companies use our fears to sell us things such as being overweight, or having a bad body odor. Everyone wants to feel accepted or “cool.” Companies spend large amounts of money to convince the public that if they do not use their product or service they will seen as lesser and not “cool” if they do not use their product or services. Another tactic that is of mainstream use in persuasive advertisements are weasel words. Although by law companies are required to advertise truthfully they get away with using these types of words to mislead consumers. The goal will be to sway my target audience to purchase from my mobile box truck style business establishment rather than conventional retail stores. In order for said advertising strategy to work I will make sure to make the best use of pathos, logos and ethos. Pathos will appeal to my target’s emotions, logos will appeal to logic and reason and ethos will appeal to the credibility of my character. Seeing that money is will not pose any obstacles I would use a healthy media mix consisting of mass media to inform a vast majority of people about my business. I will also utilize billboards as they are seen by a vast majority of people as they travel. To reach my intended target audience I will use niche media. My media mix will consist of magazines such as Cosmo, Vogue, Elle, and InStyle to name a few. Radio advertisement will also be added to the media mix as it can also be used to target a specific target audience. Social media advertisement will be a must. Platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other popular platforms will be used.

I believe that my business will not only succeed but it will thrive. This year, 2016, forecasts estimate that cosmetics sales will rise to 9.9 billion. This is according to Reportlinker, a marketing research company. In addition, jewelry sales are also following a positive trend according to the US Census Bureau.
