I will be able to add diversity to the OT curriculum and to the OT profession from the diversity of my past experiences. Growing up, I have participated in a number of extracurricular activities outside of the classroom. These activities include athletics, volunteering, music, and employment. From these experiences, I have become a skilled and well-rounded individual who will bring a unique prospective to the OT curriculum and to the OT profession. In high school, I was the captain of the hockey team and tennis team. Being in a leadership position allowed me to learn how to lead a group of individuals and how to alter my communication style in order to effectively communicate with each individual.
