Adversity Makes You Stronger Analysis

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” When considering the quote “Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant.” by Horace , the quote opens up wide range of views. The most important view that Horace is trying to get across is that when a person is faced with trouble they can become stronger and their true outlook on life will arise. In Kelly Clarkson’s song Stronger” it expresses no matter what has happened to you, if it doesn’t kill you then you are stronger, the same point Horace wants to get across. Adversity can shape a person into becoming stronger, wiser and a more open person who is able to believe everything happens for a reason. Adversity can mean many things when it comes to affecting a person’s life whether it's the hardest thing they have ever experienced or the best thing that they have ever encountered. About a few weeks ago, i was staying at my friend’s house in west kankakee, which is honestly the best side of kankakee to live in. I accidently left my car doors unlocked with my house keys and eighty dollars for gas money in my arm sleeve. The next morning as i was leaving , my car’s sleeve was ran through and my money was gone. The situation had me infuriated, I was so upset. I continued to think, “why me” and “how am I going to get to school and work for the next week.” Overall there was a very good lesson to be learned from all of this. Do not leave money or anything valuable in the car ever. When faced with misfortune, I am able to see a bigger understanding on the picture. I was faced with adversity and now i am wiser in the aspect of not leaving things in my car. Before I overcame the problem I was angry that it happened to me, but everything that happens is to teach you a lesson and now I understand. I understand what i did wrong and now i am
