The statement that “Adversity is one thing we all experience at one point or another,” is quite correct. All people that live or have lived have suffered the pains of adversity. However the continuation of the statement is not as precise, not all “Texts dealing with adversity are moving portraits of people who are great examples of resilience.” This is because texts dealing with adversity can only show resilience in a limited number of forms, therefore in these texts resilience is shown as black and white, not as the many shades of grey it actually is.
