How does an individual face adversity? People differ in their ways. Some give in and quit. They quit before they begin because they're afraid of what might happen if they fail. Though there are also those who stand up and fight. They finish what they start, they keep going, keep pushing, until their destination is reached. There are many demonstrations of this in films and stories. People with wills of steel who make it out and get their "happy ending." Writers portray this in poems, books, stories, and even sometimes in their own lives. Theodore Roosevelt's The Man in the Arena, Langston Hughes' Mother to Son, and William Henley's Invictus are all evidence of how an individual faces adiversity. But eventually you make it through. Eventually, you get that nice smooth part where most everything is alright and the light is on so you can see and take it all in. Look how far you've come.
