Social media makes it possible for companies to get close to the consumers and listen to their conversations. Companies can be a part of the storytelling that happens between the consumers in daily life. Therefore, the brand has an opportunity to become a cultural brand, thereby descending the identity of a product or a company and take on the subcultures reflecting the identity of consumers. By focusing users on submitting actionable feedback instead of just their opinions, User Voice allows companies and organizations to collect valuable data on what their customers want. User Voice also released a version of its service which can be embedded into iPhone applications as part of the strategy to reduce friction in the feedback process across platforms. Portals like cleartrip.com are using facebook and twitter to respond to customer complaints and are earning praise for it as well. The TAT of the companies using social media has reduced by days and not even by hours thus increasing customer satisfaction
