Introduction
All company have their own goals and objectives to achieve success in the future. Goals and objectives are important to each company because the performance of a company can be seen on how effectively they achieve their goals. Every organization should have a motivated work force as it is the key elements to the productivity of the work, job performance and the maintenance of healthy working environment. In any workplace, employees are the root that holds the organization together to help reach their long term vision and goals successfully. This theory claims that individuals’ most basic needs must be met before the other needs can serve as motivator. It emphasizes the social needs that relates to the employees motivation in the workplace. Social needs is the need for love, affection and sense of belongingness in one’s relationship with other persons. In order to satisfy the needs, the organization need to develop good relationship among their employees so that they were able to feel valued and motivated to work harder. The main strength of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory is the identification of individual needs of what energizes (motivates) individuals. By appealing to an employee’s unfulfilled needs, organization may influence performance. They should implement flexibility programs as in they give employees flexible time and space so that they can blend in between their work and home life. For example, organization can also give the chance to their employees to work from home so that they are able to manage their work hours to fit their life priorities. We believed that employees still can submit their work with the deadlines because they will feel more comfortable to do the work at home. Work-life balance should be provided to employees in order to increase focus and motivation at work knowing that family and work commitments are being met. Thus, it influence employee engagement and increase the positive impact of work on personal and family life. Based on what we have discussed, positive working environment can definitely maximize the attitude and productivity of employees, and hence on their ability to work well. We have come up to the point whereby things such as the quality of lighting, personal space, the furniture and fittings, and so on can influence the overall working environment in a big way. In order to create positive working environment, we have suggested that organization should create a pleasant work areas for each employees and give freedom to them to personalize or design their own working space, for example, putting their family photo or decorate with
